Our Wedding

If you've met us you've probably heard this infamous story!Chuck and I met at Red Rocks. I was with some of my friends, not knowing they were also Chuck's friends, one of which included my brother who had already known Chuck for years. When we got to red rocks our group was on the search to find Chuck's group to hang out during the show together. Chuck approached me as I eagerly stuck my hand out to introduce myself. Through the brief lighting from the LED's on stage I could see that Chuck, with his hood up dark and mysterious, had a black eye! Once I saw this I exclaimed "where are they?!" I was ready to protect this man! Through little continuing moments and over the course of a couple months we got to know each other very deeply. I didn't know it quite yet then but I had a feeling we were going to spend the rest of our lives together. And here we are, 4 dogs, 11 countries, and nearly 10 years later. Continuing this adventure! XOXO

What type of currency should I bring?

While some places will take your credit cards in Sayulita, they may not give you the best currency conversion. Please bring cash for tipping, and any places that could be cash only. You can go to your bank here at home and order pesos through them. Bring more than you think you need, then you can convert any pesos left over back to US dollars. There are places in Puerto Vallarta to convert your USD to pesos as well, or you can usually use ATM's in Puerto Vallarta/Sayulita as well!

What colors will the bridesmaids and groomsmen be in?

The bridesmaids will be in olive green, the flower girl in mauve, and groomsmen in beige.

Where is the ceremony and reception?

The wedding is held on the Gran Patio. There are 157 stairs to get to that area so please plan your footwear accordingly! You could always walk up the stairs barefoot and pop your shoes on at the top :)

How do I book a room?

Our coordinator will send each guest an individualized reservation booking link. Please explore all of the villas on the website under the "travel" tab of our website. When should I book my room/villa?

If you find a room at a different hotel you can book whenever you'd like! Chuck and I have our dates set for April 29th - May 3rd, if you can only do a couple of nights you can choose whichever dates work for you. The wedding day, of course, is May 1st 2026. If you are booking at our property, Amor Boutique Hotel, please reach out to Lisa and let her know your email and which room you like. Our coordinator will get your reservation booked. We will keep an updated list on which rooms have become unavailable as they get booked.

Can I book at another hotel or property?

Of course! Sayulita has so many hotel and rental options! Our property actually has additional villas owned under a different company, but are currently available for our dates :) Those rooms are under The Original Villa Amor website. Please feel free to book there as well! It will be beneficial to have our guests close to us. What is the payment schedule on rooms?

﻿Once you are contacted by our reservation coordinator and get your room booked you will be immediately charged 50% of the total for your stay. Then, 90 days before the wedding (February 1st 2026) you will automatically be charged the remaining 50%. Our room block will be released 90 days before the wedding to open rooms back up to the public.

Are children allowed?

We love your kiddos! But other than our niece, who is our flower girl, we won't have any little ones at the wedding🤍
